Uzbekistan to collect DNA of all citizens Uznews.net – The Uzbek Justice Ministry has already collected DNA data of more than 3,000 people, ministry staff members have said.
In the future, the ministry will have information on all Uzbeks. Lawyers said that this would help uncover crimes. Justice Ministry official Dilbar Ahmedova said that there had already been precedents.
Ahmedova said that the country had started to adopt laws to make it possible to use people’s DNA in uncovering crimes. |
